here is my private hideaway – i discovered it summer-19! over two july-august weeks, never more than 2 or 3 beach goers; people come here to walk and/or fish mostly – they do their “beachy” thing somewhere else.
sandwich, ma – at the northern terminus of the cape cod canal (bottom of the photo).
once you get to sandwich, go to the eponymous marina
keep right alongside marina to find free parking all day

this is the tip of the canal – to the right is basically unclaimed territory – the “town” beach begins where this ends – where the distant buildings are.
